Marc at the trautonium, recording the sweep!

Palms Out is so so very proud to announce the debut release from one of our favorite producers around, period- Austin, TX based Dubbel Dutch. He started showing up on Remix Sundays a long while ago, with bassy bootlegs of hiphop songs, and since then has evolved at a staggering rate. When I heard this single, ‘Trollsta’, I was quick to jump in and ask if Palms Out could release it. A truly enjoyable journey, start to finish, the bassline wiggles its way around minimalist percussion and a sharp kick, into a perfect pastry of percussive & tech house.
On remix duty, we have an allstar lineup- Toronto bass bomber Egyptrixx gives us his growly dubstep take on ‘Trollsta’, while Denmark’s MHM One, gives us an epic journey into the depths of house music that unravels from the dark side into the light. Finally we have Round Table Knights, from Switzerland, who deliver a tricky, broken down, version – that uses almost everything from the original but separated and spared down into a tight little exercise for your dancing feet. The artwork for the single was painted by the ever-talented John P. Dessereau.
‘Trollsta’ is out now on beatport, itunes, juno, & turntablelab.

Swiss duo the “Round Table Knights” provide release number 7 for Mowgli’s own label Deadfish.
Track one “Belly Dance” keeps in with the globally inspired signature sound of Deadfish with accordion stabs and an infectious vocal sample that will not leave your head.
The Belly Dance Remix comes straight from label boss Mowgli himself. Chopping things up a bit and laying down a bass line that is impossible to resist!
Track three “On” is another great example of the “less can sometimes be far more effective than more” principle the Deadfish crew like to toy with. A deep spookey klaxon scream sound scape that can still be just as intimidating on the 4 a.m. dance floor as it can be warming a room up!
Track four “On & On” Is the Round Table Knights own clever rework of “On”, Subtlety bringing a darker element to the track with heavy but hidden bass wobbles and a more four four driving feel to the kicks but still managing to keep the evil sound scape of its sister track.
TRACKLISTING:
* A1 Belly Dance
* A2 Belly Dance Mowgli Remix
* B1 On
* B2 On & On

After their “Hello Kool Nice” release (Quintessentials 02), the Jagged boys are back with another fab production. The main track “Langenthal” is, well, we dare to say “Tech-House with a Disco feel” and ready for club use! “New York” pumps it up even more and is another proof that Jagged are well diverse. After Quarion and Harry Swinger on QE 02, it’s now up to the mighty Brother’s Vibe to do the remix – he delivered a monster mix! And let all of us know about his house and our house!
